Understanding your JobSeeker Payment entitlement

JobSeeker Payment

JobSeeker Payment is income support for people aged 22 to Age Pension age who are looking for work or unable to work due to illness, injury or disability. You must meet mutual obligation requirements to receive this payment.

Income Test

You can earn up to $150 per fortnight before your payment is affected. Income between $150 and $256 reduces your payment by 50 cents for each dollar. Income over $256 reduces your payment by 60 cents for each dollar.

Working Credit

Working credits allow you to build up credits during periods of low or no income. These credits can offset employment income, helping you keep more of your payment when you find work.
