Yes. All Australian calculators use the official ATO tax rates and thresholds for the 2025/26 financial year (1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026). This includes the revised Stage 3 tax brackets. We update rates annually when the ATO publishes new figures.
All Australian calculators use the 2025/26 financial year, which runs from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. This includes the latest tax brackets, the Medicare Levy rate, and updated HECS-HELP repayment thresholds.
The Medicare Levy is calculated at 2% of your taxable income. There is a low-income threshold below which you may pay a reduced levy or no levy at all. The Medicare Levy Surcharge (1%–1.5%) may also apply if you earn above certain thresholds and do not hold private health insurance.
HECS-HELP repayments are compulsory once your repayment income exceeds the minimum threshold (around $54,435 for 2025/26). The repayment rate ranges from 1% to 10% depending on your income bracket. Our HECS-HELP Calculator shows your exact repayment amount.
The Superannuation Guarantee (SG) requires your employer to contribute 12% of your ordinary time earnings into your super fund for 2025/26. Our Superannuation Calculator shows how much your employer contributes and how super affects your overall compensation package.
Tax offsets (also called rebates) directly reduce the tax you pay. Common offsets include the Low Income Tax Offset (LITO) and the Low and Middle Income Tax Offset. Our calculators factor these in automatically based on your income level.
Yes. Our Contractor Calculator is designed for Australian independent contractors. It estimates your Income Tax, Medicare Levy, GST obligations, and superannuation. You can also use the Day Rate Calculator to convert between daily contractor rates and equivalent annual salary.
We update all Australian calculators annually once the ATO confirms the rates for the new financial year, typically after the Federal Budget in May. If the government announces mid-year changes, we update the relevant calculators promptly.
No. All calculations are performed entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. No salary figures, tax file numbers, or personal details are transmitted to our servers. Your information never leaves your device.
