Understanding Salary Comparison

How are the salaries compared?

Each salary is independently calculated using 2025-26 ATO tax rates, Medicare Levy, LITO, and optional HECS-HELP repayments. The "super included" option adjusts the base salary downward to account for the 12% SG contribution, giving you a true apples-to-apples comparison.

When should I use this?

This tool is ideal for comparing job offers, especially when one quotes salary inclusive of super and the other doesn't, or when HECS-HELP applies to one role but not the other. The difference column shows exactly how much more (or less) you'll take home.

ATO-Aligned: Uses 2025-26 tax rates. Consider other factors like location, benefits, and career growth when comparing roles.
