PAYE (Pay As You Earn) is New Zealand's income tax system where your employer withholds tax from each pay. NZ uses progressive tax brackets with rates from 10.5% to 39%. Our calculator applies the correct marginal rates and shows your exact PAYE deduction.
The ACC earner's levy funds New Zealand's accident compensation scheme. For 2025/26, the rate is approximately 1.60% of your liable earnings up to a maximum. Our calculator automatically includes this levy in your pay breakdown.
KiwiSaver is NZ's retirement savings scheme. You can contribute 3%, 4%, 6%, 8%, or 10% of your gross salary. Your employer must contribute at least 3%. Our calculator lets you select your contribution rate and shows the impact on your take-home pay.
